On Sunday, June 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., about 65 members/owners of the Doylestown Food Co-op joined together to enjoy a pot luck dinner, to get updates on what is happening in the food co-op, and to get to know each other. At this particular pot luck dinner, we had the privilege of having some of our eco-partners join us, providing us with an opportunity to learn more about the services they can provide to members.
The highlight of the social part of the evening, as always, was the WONDERFUL quality and variety of food offered by the members. Members provided a rich array of salads, main courses and desserts, along with recipes listing the fresh, local ingredients. The highlights of the informal meeting portion of the evening included the distribution of our new "Member Appreciation Booklets" , an announcement about the launching of our crowd funding campaign, and a 'heads up' notice that we will soon be able to pre-order fresh meats and to order food on-line.
Our pot luck dinners provide a great opportunity for members to get to know each other, and to share home-made, quality, local, nutritious food. Members are cordially invited to attend future pot luck dinners. It's a great opportunity to connect with a like-minded community.
A special thanks to the Doylestown Community church for once again providing space for us to gather!
