Are you ready for fresh and exciting locally sourced food; stimulating conversation; wine, beer and, yes, even kombucha tastings?! The third annual Doylestown Food Market Celebrity Chef Farm to Table Dinner promises to be a unique celebration of Bucks County’s “growing” potential and the community that supports it. The event takes place on Sunday, September 17 at 5 pm Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow, 2877 Creamery Road in New Hope. Tickets are available here.
"The DFM Farm to Table Dinner is a wonderful experience to sample the bounty of Bucks County while meeting new friends and learning more about our locavore efforts with existing friends," comments, Farm to Table Dinner regular Patrick Kennedy, owner of Superior Woodcraft in Doylestown.
The Farm to Table Celebrity Chef for 2017 is Matt McPhelin of Maize Restaurant in Perkasie who cultivated his skills in several of Philadelphia’s award-winning restaurants before opening Maize in 2009. This year he will dazzle dinner guests with innovative recipes based on fresh, seasonal ingredients from Bucks County farms.
“It’s fun to come together with like-minded people to share and celebrate the local harvest,” says Doylestown resident Jean Cauller. “This dinner shows how creative you can be using local food…and how much better it tastes.”
The Farm-to-Table Dinner is the biggest fundraiser for Doylestown Food Market, a member-owned grocery store that provides convenient access to a variety of locally raised or produced foods and other products. In addition to local food and beverages, the evening will feature The Cherry Lane Jazz Band and live and silent auctions.
